Jesus, what has Florida been feeding Alex Auld???

45 shots on goal and no score? Unreal! Psychotic!

Leafs should be up at least 3-0...

Whew! Wellwood finally cracked the wall, and Sundin and Tucker hammered it home in the shootout. Great game!

45 on goal without a single score?

Unreal.

Not a single one. (Well, OK, Mats put one off the edge that had to go to the booth, and -I- think it should have been a goal, but was NG'd, and Alexi P. sent one that managed to stop RIGHT before the line and Auld dropped onto his back to cover it that I thought broke the plane, but...)

Amazing game to watch. If Auld can keep performing like that and Florida's defense can sharpen up to force attackers out of the zone a bit better, I think they might finally turn into a real NHL team.

Sounds remarkably like the kind of situation Pittsburgh has, overall.

Pittsburgh at least has a lot of offense to balance the defensive weaknesses.

Not enough to make up for the defensive shortfall however. Something which Saturday's game against Detroit should've made abundantly clear.

Eh, hard to say this early, especially when missing one of the big pieces of the first line. Let Malkin get healthy before you shovel too much dirt on the grave.

Meh, I'm mostly just griping they didn't at least get onto the scoreboard against Detroit. Would've made the sting a bit less painfull.

Actually, they did really well last night. MacLean was pretty smart when he finally re-signed Zherdev - Kolya came off the plane, onto the ice, and got 2 last night and a small boatload of assists.
