All I can say about Casino Royale is this:

1) Go see it.

2) Daniel Craig will probably end up as being the #2 Bond of all time, second only to Connery because people will give Sean props for defining the role. (However, I suspect that in an unbiased look, Craig might just beat him out.)

3) That was awesome.

I actually reread the book a few months age, and one of the things I loved about the movie is just how close it followed the original. I was so sure they'd wimp out with the torture scene, (if you've seen the movie, you know which...) and while it doesn't have the same duration, the intensity is a perfect match.

Great, great movie. One of the top three Bond films ever made.

Hell, if they decided just to keep redoing the books in continuity order, and throwing out the old continuity...I think I could deal with that pretty easily, if they stay to this level of quality.

We were whooping and cheering throughout the opening credits and the Parkour chase. This movie was made of win, and Daniel Craig is the hardest Bond since Tim Dalton, yet a good deal easier to like.
