Nov. 22nd, 2006 09:19 pmPros and Cons of loving the Leafs in a state where you're either a Jackets fan, or you're really, really wierd.
Pros: With Centre Ice, no problem catching all the games.
Cons: Funny looks at home when I cheer them on, even when it's just me and the cats, and nobody I can really IM or call to go "DID YOU SEE THAT?"
(And, y'know, Tucker's last goal to tie us at 4-4 with the Sabres, followed by an awesome drop and save from Raycroft, is really a DID YOU SEE THAT?!?!?! moment!)
I like the Jackets, and I do hope that Ken Hitchcock gets them back onto the right track, but it's just not quite the same...
I'm also noticing that HD helps transmit a bit more of the energy and intimacy you get from decent seats, even if it still isn't quite as good as being there in person.
Edit: And then we give up 2 empty-netters to turn from trying to tie it at the last moment into a crash and burn. GOD-DAMMIT!!!!
*sigh* Ah, well. At least it was a ton of fun to watch.
