bzarcher: A Sylveon from Pokemon floating in the air, wearing a pair of wingtip glasses (Hyatt)

Got up, hit snooze, realized I had 45 minutes until work, and went to the shower. Got in to the office before my boss. :D Scheduled some calls from the tracking system. Doing a machine delivery at noon today, maintinence on machines tomorrow morning, setting up a new person's email with them Thursday.

I'm supposed to have more to do today, but 3/4 of it depends on this dude in the Archaeology dept. getting back into his office, and I've yet to get him.

A bit bored, as a result. But, it's not all bad. A friend who used to sing in the choir has been in and out all day because she's on campus for a camp that she's working for, plus getting a new computer and using our stuff to transfer data, etx. Also gave her some advice on a new machine for her parents. Nice to see her. She was never a dating interest, but she's always been a decent friend since Freshman year.

Hrm. What else... [livejournal.com profile] sekhmet, [livejournal.com profile] tempest56, [livejournal.com profile] tigerfox and possibly [livejournal.com profile] spiralpegasus are coming to visit the office, sometime this afternoon, on their way back to Canada and similar parts. Looking forward to it. :D

Might be getting a contract job to go out and do maintinence on an emeritus machine before I go to BotCon this weekend, which could be good. Making an extra $60-90. Yes...

My boss has also asked me to get him at least 2 of the Build Team bots (Grimlock and the crane), and possibly also a reissue Starscream, for which he will be sending money with me.

As for myself, I'm debating. If the 4 exclusives don't blow my skirt up, I'm seriously considering trading them to BBTS for the $150 in store credit and going wild...but we'll see. (I'd really love to get a Brave/Fort Max, but I really doubt I'll have that much free cash to spend. We'll see, I guess. I suppose if I hadn't spent $50 or so on the new Armada stuff, I'd have that to take with me, but on the other hand, they were COOL and I've been waiting for them. I'll consider it a minor sin. :D

I am also apparently collecting lurking reader/fans. This is both impressive and disturbing. I mean, you have to have better things to do than just read about me...right? :D

Things just got worse. :/

There's a "Middle School Music Camp" here. Upstairs. Rehearsing. BADLY.

I love music, but this is cacophony in a form that might -almost- be "America the Beautiful."

Send earplugs and more ammunition.

Bad Practice

Owchie! How about a firehose and paintball gun? Stings, and doesn't get you arrested for manslaughter. ;)

Well actually I wa thinking that Tranqu darts might be good ammo. The little darlings cannot sing if they are doped out on tranquilizers......

Well, they're playing, not singing...but still, you two have a point.

Maybe frozen paintballs and horse tranquilizers? Yes...

Heh, a boss that loves Transformers too. That must rock...

And no, we DON'T have anything better to do! *evil grin*

You have no idea. If it weren't for John (the boss in question), there are several days where I'd have probably snapped and started killing people. Instead, he pulls me into his office and we talk TFs, games, Pac-Man, and various things to keep me in a nice joyjoy state.

Excellent.

I've found, like you probably have, that your boss can make or break your job experience. :)

Good boss = good job.

Too bad so many bosses suck.

mmmm...reissue Starscream...the one true Leader of the Decepticons, and also the TF who controlled Cobra Commander behind the scenes

Shockwave. Shockwave is the true leader. Starscream...starscream was just FUN. :D

From: [identity profile] lanthinel.livejournal.com
Yeah, sure. Shockwave could take on all the Dinobots at once and fight them to a standstill -- yeah, he could take over oil rigs belonging to GB Blackrock and set in motion the events that led to Circuit Breaker -- but really, he just could never really screech out orders as well as Starscream. ;)

Date: 2002-07-22 05:15 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] bzarcher.livejournal.com
That's because he never needed to screech. :D

How 'bout this? Shockwave would be the more effective leader. Starscream would be the more fun leader. ;)

Fine, fine.

(But I think Shockwave capturing Elita One and chaining her to the wall sounds pretty fun, too...)

Yesssss!!!! All hail the avatars of the gret Latta!!! For there should be no other......

But who tormented Elita One while she was chained to the wall? Starscream, that's who!! Thanks guys I needed this. *LOL*

Always a pleasure to serve. ;D

But I still stand by the Big Purple Cyclops. :D

Shut yo' mouth!

(apologies to Isaac Hayes)
"Theme From 'Starscream'"

(Chorus = Soundwave, Lazerbeak, Buzzaw, Ravage, Frenzy, and Rumble in the background, dancing, with disco lights coming from energon cubes nearby)

Starscream: Who's the Decepticon
That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
Chorus: STARSCREAM!
Starscream: Ya damn right!

Who is the bot that would risk his neck
For his brother 'Con?
Chorus: STARSCREAM!
Starscream: Can you dig it?

Who's the jet that won't fly off
When there's Autobots about?
Chorus: STARSCREAM!
Starscream: Right On!

They say this Starscream is a bad mother
Chorus: SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
Starscream: I'm talkin' 'bout Starscream!
Chorus: THEN WE CAN DIG IT!

Starscream: He's a complicated bot
But no one understands him but Elita One
Chorus: STARSCREAM!

Well, alright then, but you do know how I feel about Starscream. He holds an odd sort of fascination for me......
