Dec. 16th, 2006 10:31 pmOK, so there's a downside to all that OT...it's left me feeling completely fried today. We went out and had a much needed and quite good social with
dklegman and
yukon_jack, including Pulp Fiction and intense Steakage, but by 10 I was deflating badly, and then I had to go get Lisa from work, which turned into an hour or so at Perkins so she could get some dinner as well.
I've felt like a zombie most of today, which didn't blend exceptionally well with needing to go out with Lisa so she could give blood and finish her shopping, or doing the same with Alex so he could finish his before the CBJ game tonight. (Thank you, conspiring gods, for letting me finish my shopping a few days ago.)
...speaking of, did anyone else feel like the Jackets played -damn- hard, but the Refs had more to do with the loss than Chicago did? Fucking zevras.
The worst part is, even though I'm still pretty tired, I'm not really quite able to sleep. I don't think it'd be prudent to take Sanford up on his invitation to the Carabar, because tired night driving NEVER ends well in this town. Besides, enough people were being shitheads on the roads today, if the ploice cruisers and fire engines I saw along the roadsides almost everywhere I went were an indication.
...but, on the other hand, Lisa had a really good day and really enjoyed going out, the apple cake recipie is still very good, and Toronto rammed -8- goals down Lundqvist's throat.
