I think the biggest shift in my job, from the previous year to the past 3-4 months, is that back then, if I was having an absolutely terrible day, and getting crushed by work, all I could do was suck it up and deal with more work, and maybe get out and vent at lunch.

Now, I was having an absolutely terrible day, and getting crushed by work. Then someone came by and said "Thank you." And another person offered to take over for a few minutes so I could have a break.

And you know what? It does make all the difference.
