We're getting ready for a big product launch here, capped off by a big all-employees party on Friday afternoon.

As part of that, we all got these company logo/services branded Rubix Cubes today.

And given that I've been talking on the phones all day, I've been fidgeting with mine constantly. At first I was just making simple scrambles and solving them, but after awhile I just decided to scramble it as much as I could, solvability be damned.

And...um...it looks more like a Rubix trapezoid than a cube, now. The sides are kinda bulging in places that I don't think it's supposed to happen.

Eep.

In other news: What brilliant person decided that the employees of a software company could all wear XL t-shirts?

In my department alone we range from my boss (80 lbs. soaking wet) to someone even bigger than I am, and that's quite an achievement! Apparently Marketing tried to actually get t-shirts in proper sizes, and someone overruled them and went with the "one size fits all!" tack.

I'm debating chopping the branding logos and slogans out of the t-shirt and just safety pinning them to a shirt that actualy fits comfortably.

We'll see. It's -real- tempting.

I suggest having everyone wear them, as is... and take a picture for the asshat who thought one size fits all.

That's not a bad idea either. :)

No, no, that's not a good idea.

For those it's too small for: pin the ENTIRE shirt to a decently fitting shirt, on the front.

For those it's too big for: if she's also short, a nice belt can make it a minidress.

Take a photo. Send to committee. Quote a Waitresses song:

"One size does not fit all."

I may just suggest the minidress idea to the boss. She might well go for it.

That, or I really like the idea of getting one of her dogs to wear it.
