Nov. 22nd, 2007 11:00 pmFoodmas has been crushed beneath my cranberry stained heel.
(Note: Not actually true - I'm not that fond of cranberries)
Dinner was very good, we had 5 metric tons of desserts, and aside from feeling a bit worn down due to the usual 5 hours of driving, all was very good.
Looks like I'm going to be going to D.C. with my sister next week so she can see the national zoo (and the pandas), but since my grandparents and parents are footing the bill I'm not quite as annoyed about having my vacation dictated to me as I could be. Unfortunately, as said Grandparents will be along for at least a majority of the time, meetups for alcohol and seeing people are unlikely at this point, but I will try to beep people depending what happens.
Also, why the hell are some stores starting Black Friday sales at 11pm tonight?
That's seriously, seriously fucked up.
Even worse? According to some of the stores, people started lining up for these sales at NOON. Is saving $300 on a laptop really worth losing a day with your family, sir? What is wrong with you? Do you think your kids are gonna take away "Daddy was good at saving money!" or do you think they're going to be saying "Mommy, why isn't daddy here?"

Date: 2007-11-23 02:20 pm (UTC)I ask this every Thanksgiving. It really confused my dad when he was here this year and my mom wasn't.
