DCdyssey, day 2: Down the hole.

Today started not long after yesterday left off, because at 2am some wonderful person pulled the fire alarm!

I'd be thinking this is just a one time thing, except two guests checked out while the fire department was letting us back in the building because they were "fed up", so hopefully this isn't a nightly occurance.

Meanwhile, we're getting ready to head down to the national zoo, after being reinforced (if not fully fortified) by the hotel's free breakfast. Cameras all around!

The last (well, also first and thus far only) time I stayed in a hotel in DC I couldn't sleep for most of the night, between my father snoring and the guests in the next room having a screaming argument in Arabic. That was awesome.

Suddenly I have an urge to watch Four Rooms again.

After the fire alarm it was OK enough, and the zoo was really nice, though apparently I forgot my camera's usb cable, and I don't care enough to buy another before I go home, so I'll just do the mother of all uploads Saturday or Sunday.

Oh - neat ICA reference - we're going to eat at Chef Morou's restaurant tomorrow night.
