So, bredmold did a post talking about the Zombie Jesus thing.

In particular, one idea caught my brain. This would be less offensive if there were also zombie icons of other major religions. Zombie Buddha, Zombie Confucius and the Rabbi Zombie Corps at a bare minimum!

But I'm a fan of bad humor and zombies, so not much I can do about it. Thus why Shawn of the Dead is a great movie.

Potentially, but I could easily see some zombie rabbis arguing that while Jesus was an excellent Zombie, and was clearly raised by some excellent necromancers, he was not the zombie messiah. :D

The other religions didn't have anyone rising from the grave, so... (shrug) Christianity and its off-shoots are the only ones where the joke makes any sense.

Yeah, up until Marvel Comics did it, I might have agreed. Now, it's been way overdone.

Still, it's particularly apt since the Christian mythology includes rising from the dead.

I'm kinda surprised and amused at how bent out of shape people got about Zombie Jesus this year. And I think Zombie Horus and Zombie Lemminkäinen would be pretty hilarious too, as other random back-from-the-dead gods go.

Like fart jokes, I'll stop laughing at them when they stop being funny. :)

(Heck, since (excepting the Ragnarok), the gods are wounded and then rise again each day, is it possible that all of the Aesir and Vanir could be Zombies anyhow?)
