Jun. 9th, 2008 10:21 amTrying to recap the weekend is like trying to put a pour spout into a waterfall - I feel like I did a ton, and I'm still kinda beat.
However, there were some great highlights...
*Walking to the register with about 90 lbs. of firebrick in my arms, in large boxes with "FIRE BRICK" printed on the sides in large, friendly letters, and having Alex ask, "What'd you get?"
*Raiding My Big Fat Greek Kuzina with
dklegman. Sooooo good. And introducing Dave to Saganaki Opa. :>
*A visit from Seth - for those who don't know the full history, Seth was pretty much my best friend when I was growing up, and since then he's been in Minnesota. We spent the better part of Sunday hanging out, having lunch, and catching back up on what each of us had been doing, and what we'd heard of from some of our old friends in the neighborhood. We also came to the somewhat sad realization that we're waaaaay more in touch with our friends from college than the people we spent almost 3 times as many years with. Hopefully, though, Seth and I can keep up with at least sporadic contact. :D
*Squealer burgers on the grill Sunday night.
*Everyone thinks I need a vegetable garden. I'm just somewhat unsure of my ability to keep one alive...
