bzarcher | Mmmm...new room.

So, if you hadn't heard, I moved back into Andrews Hall yesterday, but to a part of the building I've never lived in before. The 1st floor Men's wing. (Technically, we -are- the 1st floor men's hall, but I think the fact we can be completely sealed from the rest of the building by locking two doors classifies us as a wing, in the terms of classical architecture.)

Now, the best part is that until next week, I'm the only guy on the floor, excepting the RD, but he's in his own apartment. Pretty cool guy. I've met him at his office (he's the new recycling co-ordinator), and he helped me get the TV set up when he noticed I'd gotten in. We caught the last few minutes of Enterprise and he actually mentioned being a Trekkie, which leads me to believe he'll be our first decent RD in 2 years.

(As a note: First on the 2 shamed ones was Dustin, he who lies like the snake. Much has been lamented on him for a long time....so I will not here. Second was last year's "Hi, I'm the RD, but I'm also a substitute teacher, and I don't want to be bothered by you little pissants except between the hours of 6-7:30pm M-F only, because I'm gonna be so out of here on the weekends fucking my boyfriend in his BMW.)

Anyhow. Now, I went to take a shower this morning. The shower here is -neat-. The floor is kinda bowl-shaped, with all these kickass jaggy tile grooves to the drain. It's like the kinda shower you expect to see in the Coliseum so the blood would clean off easier.

It's a floor that, were I 2 inches tall and had about 13 other 2 inch people with me, we could play rollerball in.

Then I turned on the TV just now, and it's Dogma. (Small note: In the scene after Bartleby and Loki start shreddng the Cardinal and his church opening, anyone else notice the sign changes to say "Catholicism, OW!" I'm damn amused.

It's gonna be a good year.
