Vacation: Day 1!

bzarcherSo the first thing I did was sleep in until 9!
This doesn't seem like much, but believe me, it was.
After shuffling cars with Alex to let him on his merry way, I got some breakfast, played some EVE, watched some Top Gear, played some TF2, and then rocked a bit more EVE.
Then I had lunch and went down to the first public session for the Bluejackets prospect camp. I wrote my impressions up at HFBoards, in addition to taking a lot of pictures that are now on Flickr.

flaggerx communed with the smoker for awhile and basically finished the top barrel's cutting (though we do still need to round off some edges), and have basically got to fab the door and diffuser plate, and it'll be ready to take apart, power wash, paint, paint, paint, paint some more, and then eventually reassemble, cure, and start cooking!
Life is, in fact, pretty damn good. :D
