Good: Jackets KICKING ASS, really good food at the new Hoggy's on Sawmill. Got out of work early.

Bad: Borders was out of nearly EVERYTHING I tried to pick up. Settled on Hellsing #9 and Black Lagoon #1 because every book I tried to get (Alchemy of Stone, Saturn's Children, Sly Mongoose, Watching the Watchmen, DW: The Writer's Tale, Vorkosigan Companion) were sold out or only by order.

DUDE. Walter's a bad guy? :(

Oh, well. Life is good.

I could've sworn we knew Walter had misplaced loyalties, or that it at least was suspected. Then again, I haven't read 1-8 in approximately forever so I could be entirely wrong.

Its' not totally out of left field, but it's pretty close. I'm also thinking of the first TV series where he never shows signs of betrayal.

Yes, but the first TV series has nothing to do with anything after about volume 2. It's a totally different entity.

[livejournal.com profile] tobias_buckell has oft lamented the *extreme* suck that is trying to get his books from a Borders. Try B&N instead.

The issue is my uncle gave me a Borders gift card for Christmas. :) I'd prefer B&N or Amazon if I could, but ah, well.

I like Borders but fear cash flow is the reason for their low stock. I heard a rumor in November that the chain may not be long for this world.

Wouldn't shock me. I know they've closed some stores.

Still - several of the books I looked for are Ohio authors or best selling authors. You'd think they'd at least try to stock that...
