The banged-up Jackets failed to hold a third-period lead for the fourth consecutive game, but gained a valuable point to sit just two points out of a playoff sport at the All-Star break. The Jackets also are just four points behind the fifth-place Coyotes.

3 points on the road trip, out of a possible 6. Would I have liked more? Sure.

Am I quite happy with this? Yeah.

Honestly, we're banged up and it sounds like the whole team can use the ASB to rest, recover, and re-center.

Once that's done, the fun begins.

Hitch rode Mason a game or two too many. I thought he should have rested him last night. They played tough, fought for each other. At least they got a point out of that one. Losing at Edmonton hurt them more.

Apparently Dubie wasn't quite in game shape....and his pads didn't arrive from the Island. :(

I'm blaming the USPS for that.

I think that after the break, we'll see Mason get a couple, then Dubie gets a debut, and then from there.
