Valentine's day.

Huh.

I read a webcomic this morning that described today as "The single person's worst day of the year."

I'm not really sure I can disagree...but I think I'm doing a lot better with today than I might have been under the circumstances.

Strangely enough, I seem to be in a place a lot like ijikeru and sk4p were a few months ago. Somewhat unhappy (if not horrific) relationship, meeting someone in a similar boat, and some sparks are starting to go off. Spent several hours on the phone with someone last night, just talking, venting about our relationships, and making each other feel better. Then we walked about movies. Then music. Then anime. Then books. Then food. Then College. And I felt really great when we both realized that it was 2am in both our locales, and we both had work to finish for tomorrow, so we kissed each other goodnight and hung up.

And I felt pretty fucking fantastic.

Maybe those changes I could see coming have arrived.

Side thing:

Meant to mention this last night. While I didn't have time for dinner, I did steal some eggrolls and a couple fortune cookies at lunch to heat up.

Small note:

The next girl, especially one who has told me "just friends", or is an ex, who tells me I "deserve someone", or "deserve a better girl" is going to feel my leading hand's edge crushing their trachea in the time before they choke to death on their own blood.

Well...maybe not. But I'm getting really, really, really sick of that line.
