*GRINS*

Last update before bed. I swear.

Thanks to a player at XME, Lisa and I are now playing on....a CHICAGOMUSH.

Chicago, set in the 1920s, pre-black Tuesday, gangland. :D

Film noir and everything. Is -YUMMY-.

Hrm. Wierd thing for today:

I think about a week ago I started spontaneously brushing my teeth in the morning.
I've always done it at night, and now I'm doing it in the morning too.
And I've -never- had problems with morning breath, so it's not that.

Wierd.

Um. There was something else I was gonna write before I went to work, and I forgot. Maybe it will come to me.

Take-home exam's almost finished. 3 more paragraphs, maybe 4, which I'll try to write tonight or tomorrow.

Urk. Do I have D&D tonight? Hrm.

We'll figure it out.

Brr.

Much as I love snow, vertically falling ice and sleet is, in fact, on my shit list.

Oh, well.

For the birthdate: Friday, February 20, 1981
You are now 7965 days old.

Your next Major Decimal Birthday is
your 8000th day on Wednesday, January 15, 2003

Reasonably neat.

Ironically enough, the 15th is my Mom's birthday.

Sleet, snow, ice, and the rest are still falling, and I get to go back out and run more calls in it in about 45 minutes or so. Whoopde.

*grumbles* If I had my druthers, I'd be curled up in bed with a warm blanket, a good book, and a lovely [livejournal.com profile] skarlette to read to or be read to by, with some tea or cocoa on the nightstand for us. (It's not a coffee day. Well, it was to wake me up this morning, but not at this point. It's much more a 'relax and be warm' day than a 'be awake' day.

I really want my druthers.

I believe we do have D&D tonight, so I'll get off work at 5 and then go home to chip away a bit more of the final. Maybe (if -really- lucky) get it wrapped up and sent off before game. (I *HEART* profs who encourage electronic submissions on finals and major papers.)

Failing that, game tonight, come home, try to tinker a bit more, and plan to finish it tomorrow morning. I set all day tomorrow aside for take-home work and studying for the final tomorrow evening (7pm Final==Yaaaargh). Probably also do some packing tomorrow. Need to figure out what I actually want to take home.

Right now the list is:
Well, it's pretty big, really... )

Mmmm.

Matt far prefers thick drifting snowfalls to ice.

Mmm. Going out wasn't so bad, now that it's switched to that. And even the snow is tapering off after leaving us a nice coating. So, we'll see.

Solved a problem that had been bugging us for WEEKS. Felt good.

Edit: The snow is back in fuller flurrier force than ever. ALL HAIL THE SNOW.

What kind of Drug Addict are you?

Whee.

Nothing like replacing a hard drive in a G3 all in one that cannot be moved to get better access while you're removing the drive chassis cage because it's in a lab assistant's area and SURROUNDED BY GLASS CONTAINERS WITH LIVE FUCKING TARANTULAS AND SCORPIONS. I'm not too arachnaphobic at all, but after 30 minutes in there, I was freaking a little bit while I was testing the machine to make sure the replacement was OK.

But, seriously, guys. Since YOUR department called and requested we come down and swap this drive today at this time, couldn't you have temporarily moved things, on the principle that maybe I or whoever was sent might like to move the case around to get at it better? Please?

Oh, well. At least the better job I do on things today the more I get to go out into the snowstorm.

4 more computers fixed and out the door. Wheeeew.
(The main reason things clumped fast is we finally got a shipment of parts from Apple that we've been waiting on for, like, 3 weeks.)

Anyhow.
This is care of [livejournal.com profile] silentsteel and [livejournal.com profile] yanno

...someone is doing a casting call for a Rocky cast next semester.

I'm calling them now.

Aaaaaaaaaaand I have an Audition time! And the person running it is the girl who came as Frank to masque ball. And remembers who I am. And thinks she might want to use me for Riff. :D

Finished the exam.

Saved the princess.

Got some popcorn.

Was given a neato dark blue candle by Sarah Lenore as my christmas/yule/whatever present, handmade by her.

Came home to [livejournal.com profile] skarlette, a wonderful routine that is still as amazing to me today as the first time.

Life is good.
