bzarcher: A Sylveon from Pokemon floating in the air, wearing a pair of wingtip glasses (Crack!)
Well, it's been a fun morning. From a bout of wake up nausea that, by the rash on my face, I believe can be related to an allergic reaction to the salad I ate for dinner last night, to going outside and finding my car iced over by the yummy ice-storm fun we're having. Even better, once I got it open to get the scraper and get the defroster going, I locked my keys in the car.

@set me=!smart.

Fortunately, the best part of owning a station wagon is that as long as I keep my scraper in the trunk (and therefore had to unlock it) I can always crawl in, pop the lock on the back door, crawl out, open the door, and pop the driver's side open. (Even better is that I've so far locked myself out of my office twice today, too.)

Of course, there is a silver lining. The former departmental director (aka arrogant ass who embezzeled equipment like they were gonna nuke the school), apparently fell yesterday morning while walking his dog. Slipped on the ice and shattered his ankle and fibia. I shouldn't get warm fuzzles at someone going into traction, but hey, that's why I'm a bad person.

Not terribly excited about going into the wellness centre for my 50,000 mile tune-up semi-regular blood tests to see what my sugars are doing, but that's the breaks.

Edited for accuracy

In other news, welcome to [livejournal.com profile] indigoskynet. God help you. (Of course, if you've been listening to [livejournal.com profile] jwhorfin, you probably won't find me that unusual.

Also, good luck to [livejournal.com profile] crazigriffin on her first day of teaching. Just remember that they're as afraid of you as you are of them. (Well, okay, not really, but just because they have the weapons doesn't mean you can't wield a mean chalkboard eraser.)

!!!!!

Checked my 'home' voicemail while at lunch.

There's a message from Primerica Citigroup about wanting to talk about my resume for a 'career opportunity' at their Columbus office.

Returned his call, mmmyes. Left a voicemail. Might call him just to actually speak with him.

Or, I could get something more interesting...

Matt,

I found your resume on hotjobs and wanted to speak with you about a contract Help Desk position. My client needs a Help Desk professional with Macintosh experience. This contract will last 4-6 months possibly longer.

If you are interested , please send your resume as a word attachment and let me know when you are available to meet with me.

Thank you,

Your song of 2003 is Evanescene's "Bring Me To Life". Reguardless of if you had a good year or not, you feel like something is lacking in your life... somewhere along the line, and hopefully you'll find it in the new year.

This test taken @ TheAeroZone.com, where you can take more tests than any human should. :D

Something lacking == Time snuggled up under a blanket with Lisa.

Well, that wasn't hard to figure out. Next?

Oh. In all this craziness, did I remember to mention that my Doctor's visit went really well?

BP is the lowest they've taken so far (130/76) weight loss is obvious, and muscle mass increased. Sugar retention is also approaching a normal level.
