I want to take a sec, while I can't sleep, to apologize to nearly everyone. I know I've been pretty quiet and out of touch with people the last few days.

I wish I could say it was not feeling well, or a game, or something. It's not. I just...I dunno. I've needed a bit of quiet time to myself, and I'm not even sure why. I'm really going to try to be around more the next few nights. I promise.

Wow, it's cold out there. A balmy -1 with windchill, an improvement over the -11 of earlier this morning. In fact, though I and many others reading this will agree that witches tits are not, in fact, cold, it's fun to say that it's cold as a witch's tit out there, so I shall.

Where it really shows, though, is on those who clearly have never experienced this sort of weather, such as one I encountered while running my first calls of the day. A student sitting in a Toyota, with a distinctly...ah...southern license plate (trying not to make a stereotype for this particular state), was trying in vain to remove the frost/ice from her car with her windshield wipers, with little success.

When I left the building I'd been working in, she was still at it, with no visible change on her windshield.

Oh, well. Maybe she'll eventually have some luck.
