Jan. 21st, 2004 10:20 amWow, it's cold out there. A balmy -1 with windchill, an improvement over the -11 of earlier this morning. In fact, though I and many others reading this will agree that witches tits are not, in fact, cold, it's fun to say that it's cold as a witch's tit out there, so I shall.
Where it really shows, though, is on those who clearly have never experienced this sort of weather, such as one I encountered while running my first calls of the day. A student sitting in a Toyota, with a distinctly...ah...southern license plate (trying not to make a stereotype for this particular state), was trying in vain to remove the frost/ice from her car with her windshield wipers, with little success.
When I left the building I'd been working in, she was still at it, with no visible change on her windshield.
Oh, well. Maybe she'll eventually have some luck.

But it wasn't very thick frost. I was just not able to figure out where my ice scraper was on short notice.
