Oh, shit.
Looks like paying the rest of my bills is gonnakinda wipe me out until I get my tax return. (Which will be filed same damn day as work gets us our W2s. Grumble.)
I don't regret going and having a good time, and I am actually proud that of what I spent, 75% was spent on other people for good reasons, especially the stuff I gave to charity.
Just wish I had a bit left over, yeah...

Hey,
paisleycat? Did I remember to mention the new hair color and such looks really good on you?
If not, I apologize. I meant to and the brain sorta skipped. Lots.

Jan. 28th, 2004 08:59 pmI'm not sure what I expected tonight, but it turned different and interesting.
John from the office had his truck trapped in the street by ice and snow. So he asked if I'd drive him home. No worries. Easy. Then, he asked if I'd mind helping getting him dug out and push until he can get going. Once again, easy, and kinda fun. Got the exercise going and the blood pumping. So I thanked John for the chance to play around, and figured that'd be it.
But then he asked me if I'd had dinner plans. I said no.
"Cool. To say thanks for digging the truck out, I'm buying you dinner. I'll follow you to your place and then we'll take the truck."
So, I got a free dinner, and we chatted about gaming, job search, crap in general, and had a nice dinner at Applebees. (I had the 'Cowboy Combo' from the 3 course meal deal they're doing, though I traded out the veggies for a real salad. Good stuff. And the raspberry cheesecake was pretty nice, too.)
Not bad at all.
