*grumble* We're now on day 8 of the 7-10 days in which my refund would arrive. No refund yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

I've also found out that interns are basicially the ONLY people here paid monthly. Period.

This has lead me to a very simple decision: NEVER GET ROPED INTO A MONTHLY PAY-CYCLE EVER AGAIN. If the rest of the world is getting paid bi-monthly, don't settle for less.

If I get really lucky, maybe I'll hear about the other job today!

Lisa got on a cybercafe and caught me at work, spent some time with me, and made me feel, in general, far better and awesome.

It actually hasn't been that bad of a day, but this just makes things better.

Pardon me while I go and *mrrrr* in a puddle somewhere.

Ahhhh, fuck.

So work sent a 1099-MISC for the B-Wiser stuff I did. To Columbus. More than a week after I got my W-2.

Just called the IRS office to request a 1040X to modify things.

It's a night for phone calls.

Just as I finished up a call with Lisa on the cell, my landline rings. Parents want to talk about what I'd like to do for my birthday. Can you believe I'd half forgotten it's next Friday? Figured out we'll be doing dinner in Woo. I think we're gonna go to the Sue Min Gourmet up near the ATI. It's just about the only place out here we /haven't/ tried. :D

Then, grandparents called my cell just as I hung the landline up. Wanted to talk about the same thing, came to same conclusions. And then my landline rang, the guy at the helpdesk was having a problem and wanted advice.

It really has been a busy night.

Huh. I didn't realize that the French Guiana Aerianespaciale launch facility was built atop what used to be Devil's Island. I'd assumed it was a different part of the territory.
