Well, we're moved. Or at least mostly so. I still have some nonessential stuff that will probably come from Westerville to live in the basement, and Alex is still taking books and some small stuff over to the new place over today and the next couple days. And I got to drive the worst U-Haul truck in the world, which was all sorts of fun that I never want to do again.

Cable/internet is being installed today, and I'll set my PC up in the evening. (Gasp. I didn't set up the computer before everything else!) I've shelved up a decent amount of books, and that's gonna continue the next week or so. All the furniture's in place, though, and I have a nice bed to sleep on. :D

We still need quite a few things here and there, but it's home.

That's so odd. Good, but odd.

A few people have already seen the place, and once again a huge thank you to Amanda, Crystal, and Mattbert for helping us Sunday. I know we had pizza and all that, but the thank yous go much deeper than Donatos. :D

Also, happy Midsummer. It can't be midsummer, though, it was midsummer just last week, wasn't it?

New meme.

"There is a huge chunk of you that I don't even have a clue about your first name. I don't know how old a lot of you are, or where you live, or basic normal things.

This is the problem with LJ, we all think we are so close, and we know nothing about each other.

So, I'm going to rectify it.

I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. I promise, I will not make fun of you, or say who asked what.

I then invite you to do the same. Remember, seriously basic stupid questions, don't be embarrassed, you would be really shocked what I don't know about you."

Go forward and have fun.

Also, Alex and I have been invited to my dad's for BBQ, steaks, and a late father's day meal, since my parents helped us with moving most of the day. (I did, however, give him a present: Alison stayed with Alex and I to help us unbox and arrange things with the crew from 6:30-10:30, giving my parents a blessed 4 hours to themselves. ;D

I don't know if a lot of people will realize it, but 6/21/2004 is going to be as important as a flight by two brothers on a North Carolina beach.

For we have slipped these bonds, and touched the face of God.

Yes, it took a lot to do it, but it's now been done. And they're going to do it again, and again, and again. The engine design will probably get duplicated, improved, refined, and expanded, and it would not surprise me if suborbital travel starts getting commercially availible in the next five to ten years.

From there, especially once orbiters are ready, it's going to just be a matter of steps...

I have a Gmail account!

I'd forgotten that I still have a blogger account active. I logged in to check Blogger for the hell of it and it let me set up a Gmail account using my Blogger info plus a few changes.

No idea if I'm gonna use it for more than curiousity, right now (I actually really like the space that Ard and Neal let me have on Vento), but it's kinda nice to have around.
