Just texted Alex, but I have an hour and I'm bored before my flight, so why not write it up here?

Laurinitas' mom and dad (yes, that's THE ANIMAL himself), walked through the terminal behind me - they're flying back to MN, I assume. Both were wearing 33 jerseys, but one said "DAD" and the other "MOM".

It was really rather cute.

See everyone when....well, I was about to say when I get into Toronto, but depending on customs I may do a post when I hit my layover at O'Hare, too.

Mmmm, donut.

Breakfast at O'Hare turns out to be Dunkin Donuts. Though I nearly went for some eggrolls, but common sense broke out.

Flying on the same connections as one of the guys going up from the office. Nice to chat a bit with him.

Delays galore leaving Columbus, but fortunately our layover in ORD is long enough that we're still in plenty of time for the flight to YYZ, and the weather out here is gorgeous.

Weather in Toronto's going to be medium-niceish, and with luck everything else goes smoothly.

Aaaand I'm in the hotel. Woot.

I had this grand idea of getting a jump on the job today and going over to the office building early, but it's currently being beaten to death by TIRED and HUNGRY, in that order.

We'll see how my grand designs resurface after I've eaten.

Rental car is MUCH BETTER this time - a Dodge Magnum that's very comfortable to sit and and drive, as opposed to the crappy Taurus that Budget put me in last trip. I suspect that Avis is going to get more of my rental business from here on out.

Heck, except for the oddness of going back to an Automatic after several years of Manual, I have to admit the Magnum might even be better than my current car to drive. Might be worth thinking about when the time comes....
