First whoops: Getting up thinking the prospect camp session started at 9 when it actually didn't start until 10:30. Felt a wee bit like the restless dead as a result.
Second whoops: While taking pictures at the camp, my camera's zoom made a nasty grinding sound, the camera display suddenly said "ERROR: E18" and then the camera died! The Battery was charged last night, so I know that wasn't it - tried starting it back up and the camera lens only deploys about halfway and I get the same error again.
Still and all, for an open box camera (no box, actually, broken battery door, and a missing USB cable - they handed me everything in a baggie), that I bought for $150 almost 4 years ago, I think it did rather well.
And as it turns out, Newegg has a sale deal on the SD1100 (basically the newer, sexier, more pixel-y successor of my SD400) for $200 with free shipping and a 2GB SD card thrown in for grins, so I'll take that.
