Dec. 31st, 2002 01:35 amMmm. Full day. Fun day.
Woke up and conversed with m'lady
skarlette. Absolutely wonderful.
Brunch was bacon and Steve's scrambled eggs.
Now, to most who know me know that I hate eggs. Particularly scrambled.
I ate these -and- came back for seconds. (And Steve claims to be a poor cook! HAH!)
We went down to The Bookery, Steve's preferred gaming store. We bought the new LoTR version of Risk. Absolutely fabulous fun to play. Steve also gave me the Christmas presents of MW4:Mercenaries and Record Sheets: 3067 (which also contains RS: Upgrades in it. Woooo!)
We then meandered to the Theatre, and saw Die Another Day. Excellent fun. Not my favorite Bond film (but can anything really -be- better than Goldfinger?), but certainly worth the money. Saw another preview for Bulletproof Monk, and I proclaim that It. Is. Good. Can't wait to see it when it comes out.
After that, some mall-browsing, and from there, dinner at Hops. Had a seared Ahi appetizer that made me melt with joy. (Note that every time my father's tried to make me eat fish, it's made me sick. I think I am learning why....emotional state matters, mm?)
From there, we went to Steve's and cracked open the Risk set. This is an -excellent- adaptation of the Basic Risk game, with lots of additions to make it varied and fun every time. (To my surprise, I even managed to force both Steve and Noelle to concede, and I was playing the forces of Good, which enter at heavy disadvantage.) Then Steve's friends Darren and Angie came over, and much drinking was had, bridge played, snacks munched, and the extended edition of FoTR watched again.
I am most impressed by it. Plus....I think I finally relaxed here in a way I did not and could not while at my Parents house. Steve, Noelle, and my love all mentioned it today at one point or another, and they're right.
2 more days here. Then 2 at home. Then NYC. Then Chicago. Then Wooster.
I'm gonna be okay.
Love is extended to everyone at the moment. I am somewhat drunk and feeling generous.
