I want this. It'll even play my current games. And if I trade in my GBA hardware...hrm. Probably make at least $50 towards the cost. Ooo.

Mmph. What else.

I guess the most powerful thing for me in NYC was the fact that I could look....and they weren't there. It was like a hole in the sky. The cab driver for my trip back to LaGuardia agreed, and was even nice enough to take me through Central Park and past the memorial for no extra charge. He turned off the meter. He understood. Oh, and we took the brooklyn bridge back to the highway. That was fun.

I slept a lot today, which makes sense.

Wierdness of the moment: I have the History Channel on, and they're doing a special on limousines, and they just had a custom limousine maker who displayed the "S&M" conversion package. All of the speakers and cushions could flip over. The speakers had handcuffs and foot restraints, the cushions had whips and other toys beneath them, and there was a bed that could be raised out of the floor.

Wow. You know there are right rich kinky bastards out there, but that's the first time I've ever seen the excess -that- stated. And the fact that this is a "standard package" probably means they get reasonably frequent orders for this. Wow.

Mmph. I forget what else I was gonna write about. Oh, well.

Glad to hear things went well!

Is this the end of your travelling?

I go to Chicago tomorrow to see the most beautiful woman in the world for the remainder of the week. :D

::nods:: Whilst watching "Sports Night" with [livejournal.com profile] blackpaladin ... well, the series is set in NYC. There were several shots of the skyline, and the series was shot in '98. Enough said.

I haven't been back since that field trip where I re-encountered you ... I should do that sometime.

Re the limousine — I'd hit that. ;)

Yeah. We ought to do a trip up there sometime together.

As to the limo...oh, you know you would. You naughty little jeep.

This sounds like a good plan (or the start of one) to me. :) Maybe Lisa could go, too?

Oh, and about the new Game Boy — I theorized to [livejournal.com profile] dklegman this morning that every few months the people at Nintendo sneeze and out comes a new Game Boy model. ;)

Actually, this new one solves a lot of very real problems with the GBA, particularly the unlighted screen. But, yeah. :D

As to NYC...I would like that. :D

Hmmmmmm...

This...or GBP?

Hmmmmmm....

Tough decision. I'll probably wait until I actually buy a Gamecube before I make up my mind. Still, that does look pretty darn neat.

Dim screen aside, I think the Game Boy Advance (as it has been) is one of the best sets of compromises you can make for a handheld gaming gadget. It's cozy in the hand, not too heavy, pretty rugged, gets decent battery life and is just about kid-proof. On top of this, it's inexpensive. Consequently, I think the new front-lit Game Boy is neat, but I think my money would be better put toward a new computer around midyear.

Between this and the big/little Powerbooks that just got announced, this is a day for strange new hardware. ;)

MMm. I concede 90% of your points, save the major drawback that the screen makes it near impossible to play without one or another forms of modding. (That said, I also thing the GBA-SP's price will drop around $10-15 dollars, just like the GBA's did.) Besides, the $100 is something that my tax return will likely take care of.

As to the powerbooks...eesh. The one thing I -really- loved about the TiBook was the keyboard. I hope they keep that, at least for the 17" and 15" models.

Naughty Limos

Well...why wait until you get your expensive dom/pet/whatever home to start the fun? If you're THAT rich...
