Okay, so today went well. Got books. Got stuff. Got work done.

John: "Hey, Matt. You still need a sound card?"
Me: "Well, I'd like one."
John: "Got enough on your student account to afford one of the Audigies I have on the shelf?" (Audigy Mp3+)
Me: "Depends how much."
John: "$75."
Me: "Hell yes."

I go to hook it up now. Mmmmyes.

I didn't know they even sold motherboards without some kind of onboard sound chip installed anymore. Just bby taking a glance at a few suppliers lists, I figure it'd take a spirited attempt to find one new. Well, over here, anyway.

Oh, they do still have onboard sound, they're just not very good. The audigy vs. what I had is kinda like having little tiny walkman speakers on your stereo, and then going out and buying full-floor length speakers to replace them.
