Mar. 10th, 2002 10:24 pmWelll....wow.
I'm in Dallas, Texas of all places. 3 concerts down, 6 more to go.
All in all? Things are going well.
ijikeru will be interested to hear that we went to a Chinese/Vietnamese place for dinner tonight that was all vegetarian food. Some of the stuff was so good, esp. with meat substitutes, that I'd never have guessed it was fake or vegetarian unless told! Wow.
Umm..what else...we had a drunk guy in Ft. Worth actually try to stand up and sing with us in movement 7 of the Faure Requiem in G major (In Paradisum). That was fun. :D
The church we performed in tonight in Dallas was breathtaking. Organ to die for, too. 2 concerts in Houston, then we fly to CA. Wheehah.
Saw the 9/11 documentary tonight. Surprisingly tasteful...
I remember being at ACS when the first plane hit. Linda ran down into the lab and had me come back to the TV in Phil's office. When the 2nd plane hit...I was watching. When the towers collapsed, we were all there. Staff, students...everyone. And I started crying. I think others did to. I went home. I called my family...I went into the dorm basement...and everyone I knew on campus was there.
It was a powerful and very scary experience...I still could feel some of it tonight. Then I saw Sarah and
ixx online, and hugged both of them...and I felt better.
And British Mike needs to check email, so I'm gonna let him on. Love you all.
