The Blind Zen Archer is one who does the impossible through conviction. Came about through a BBS discussion at one point in...1987? 88? and I decided it suited me better than "Cyberfreak", my previous Doctor Who based handle. Blame Lois McMaster Bujold for seeing me using it as a name on my MarCon nametag and then inserting the phrase into "Mirror Dance". (Did I ever tell you that, Nikki?)

Hrm. Either 3 weeks at age one in Olso,Norway, Lillehammer, Noway and surroundings, or 2 weeks in Stratford and Toronto, Canada at age 17. The difference is I remember Canada as more then just "cold".

6. ONE THING YOU'RE GRATEFUL FOR, TODAY.
I'm breathing. Simple, but surprisingly unexpected given some of the things that have happened to me.

7. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL MEMORY?
Junior year musical: "Brigadoon". My first ever "big part" as Mr. Lundie. People actually seeing that I knew what I was doing, and not just the big bass who the drama director always made stand in the back.

8. WHAT IS THE MOST INSANE THING YOU'VE DONE FOR/TO YOUR CRUSH THAT HE/SHE MIGHT NOT/MIGHT KNOW ABOUT?

Hrm. Assuming ixx is a current crush? (This is, in fact, probable.) Can't think of anything I haven't told her...is encouraging both of us to take roles in a MUSH where we're genderbending insane?

9. DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM WEDDING.

Milady, whomever that might be. Friends. Family if they'll behave. There's also the strong possibility it'll be outdoors, and possibly at twilight/sunset. (Kissing the bride with the sunset or first stars of the evening coming out is just too romantic for my own good, but I still like it.)

If by join you mean "burn the studioes and every executive who approved this horrible idea to the ground".

Hrm. Middleschool. First girl I'd ever taken out on a date dumped me by remote control. (ie: She told 5 other people who told most of the school before telling me. She never did actually say anything to me afterwards.)

Umm...nearly all of them? Only school related pictures I've ever really liked were my HS Senior ones, because a real photo studio actually took time with me to do good things.

Food: Salt and Vinegar will always be superior to ketchup on anything vaguely like potatoes.

Sexual: I notice I apply much more interest to the upper torso of the fairer sex than some.

Clothing: Umm...I don't think I've bought anything extremely brightly colored other than a few "just neat" shirts for myself in...5 years?

Oh, god...so many to list...let's just leave it at too many don't understand how beautiful they are just as themselves?

17. WHO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND?
Hrm. This is complicated. ijikeru and sk4p are on quite a few levels. ixx on most. Seth on some, tho I haven't seen him since he moved to Minnesota. Isa on a few. Steve. Sandra, tho I haven't seen her since she went to UC.

It is entirely possible that I care about all of my friends on too many levels to really call any of them "best". I far prefer just having all of them in my life to worry about labels.

18. NAME ONE TV CHARACTER YOU'D MOST WANT TO BE.

Marcus. Right up to the point where he decided to kill himself to save Ivanova. That was really sweet, but REALLY FUCKING STUPID. He could have found another way if he'd thought about it. (Like, say, getting Franklin to share the machine with him?)

Hrm. I probably wouldn't, actaully. But I suppose The Daily Show? The fact that I'd spend most of the time making jokes and not actually dealing with anything important is probably for the best.

21. DO YOU HAVE ANY WEIRD SLEEPING HABITS?

Umm...boxers. Usually a sheet and a light blanket. Slightly heavier comforter on in winter, which is always used as a dust cover when I remember to make the bed. That's really about it.

Work at Wooster, get a car, visit people when possible. sk4p and I keep discussing BotCon. I think I'd like to go, really.

Anything by Great Big Sea or Smile d.k. Probably "Can't Stop Falling" by GBS? I dunno. I listen to a -lot-. It's how I stave off work headaches.

Several. I sang in a highschool choir, for christ sakes!

sk4p and ijikeru have done most of it. Except there -will- be at least one cat, raised from kittendom with the dog. And a garden. Many computers. (I think a "computer room" would be nice? Hell, for all I care people can bring their own computers to that room when they visit!) And people we care about, most of all. But someone else gets to mow the lawn. I've helped mow the lawn for 11 years, despite my allergies. Normally stuff doesn't bother me, but with all the crap a mower kicks up while you run it? Oh, yeah. I'm sick of wearing a painter's mask and pushing a mower. Someone else gets to, now. Unless I have to. But I'll want large glasses of water or lemonade waiting after the front and back halves of the lawn, and after I clean the mower when I'm done.

27. YOUR TYPICAL SLEEPWEAR

Umm...boxers. Briefs if I'm out of boxers. Light shirt or robe if I somehow feel a need for it. (Usually if I've been put on a couch or something, to keep warm.) A girl whom I'm close to would be nice, too, but that's only happened once or twice for more than just quick naps.

Notebook, Russian history notes, pens, camera, New York Times from Friday.

COW card, credit cards, donor card, red cross card, SCA card, movie rental cards, phone numbers...ticket stub from when Nikki and I went to see LoTR? Huh.

Umm...looks like $25 offhand?

They're much more beaten up when I got them, but:

Black leather, workstyle shoes with velcro and steeltoes.

Umm...maybe full dress armor instead of the tux?

Considering I took a girl after both of us had been recently dumped after getting prom tickets, we both had a fairly good time just talking and laughing at people, while knowing that nothing would happen. (Though in retrospect I kinda wish something had.)

34. TELL US ABOUT ANY OF YOUR BIRTHDAYS.

Well, why not the most recent? Many good friends, some of whom I'd just met, lots of movies, lasertag, good dinner, and Iron Chef. Probably the best I've had in awhile.

35. WOULD YOU RATHER BE A HOBBIT, AN ELF OR A DWARF?

Umm...given I've been compared mostly to redcaps, which are't on the list, I'm gonna say Elf, as that's the closest? Plus the fact that I don't find furry feet terribly fun, as an idea.

36. WHAT ARE THE FIRST FIVE THINGS YOU WOULD SPLURGE ON IF YOU WERE A BILLIONAIRE?

I'm first going to state that I assume paying off debts of family and friends is not splurging? As that's the first thing.

1) All the DVDs and subbed VHS anime I've ever wanted but never bought.
2) Huge home theatre setup with all the videogames and such to play them on.
3) House to put it in, as discussed above.
4) A computer to make the masses quake in fear.
5) LOTS of gundam models.

Say goodnight to everyone online. Give ixx a hug. Strip to boxers. Turn off lights. Turn off computer unless doing some kinda download. Fuzzle into bed. Read if I'm a bit restless w/desk lamp. Sleep.

Hrm. "Quasimodo/Quasi", by the All Ohio State Fair Youth Choir. Because I kinda look like a hunchback when studying music.

40. WHAT ARE THE MAGAZINES YOU READ ON A REGULAR BASIS?
PC Gamer, Toyfare when I can get it...and...um...that's it. I used to get Time through my highschool, but haven't been as zealous about it in college.

Still waiitng on the boss to finish calling people before we're "done here" and go to kill things at a LAN party and do some machine fixing there. Including mine, as the CD-RW isn't being recognized this morning for some reason...
