Past that, work is dead, and I've always thought of myself more like Sylvester McCoy than Hartnell. (Plus, I want that question mark umbrella.)

I only ever saw Tom Baker while I was growing up and they were still airing the show. They stopped with the introduction of Tristr-err, I mean, Peter Davison. >_<

Incidentally, we have a few of the Doctor Who shows on tape at the library. Next time I go home for the weekend, I'm taking soem with me. It's a damn shame that we'll never get to see all of them on DVD or something in the future, since BBC had to recycle show tapes a lot in those days. :(

For a growing child Dave, his Doctor was my mental picture of myself as an older adult, at least until that image was replaced by Lance Henriksen.
