1. You graduated. Welcome to the rest of your life. What the hell are you doing with it?
Well, I'm doing an IT internship at Wooster, where I will pick up more money, my A+ and Apple hardware certs, lots of warranty work qualifications, and hopefully a couple shots at full-time work after the end of the internship. If I get very lucky, I might get a full time job that also lets me pick up my MA in History or possibly film studies.
2. Social drama. Good, bad, ugly? Discuss!
Good when it produces thoughtful introspection and positive change. Or if it's on Law and Order. Otherwise....more often than not it causes too much damage for people to really deal with effectively.
3. What is your idea of the perfect place?
Well, now. There a lot of those.
A 'home' type place: With warm carpets, cool walls, paintings, big TV, couches, and room to live and work without a problem. A place where I'm myself and not worrying about the rest.
A 'place' place: Isle Royale. It's isolated, and there's no technology at all there, but it's also heart breakingly beautiful, and it is just so peaceful there...I can't stay there for more than a few weeks at a time, because I'm a bit too addicted to the modern world. But it's worth it.
A 'work' place: An office with enough space that I can have what I need, but not feel cramped, and close enough to my cowokers that I don't feel alone.
4. If you could change one thing and it would stay changed, what would it be?
Too many of my friends don't seem to smile, anymore. I want them to be able to smile again, dammit.
5. Name all the Science & Humanities songs you can! What do they mean to you?
Oh, now here's a toughy.
The Aliens Are Coming...: Fun nights in the lounge, and most specifically the big blackout, Freshman year.
THE CHAIRS, THE CHAIRS: Do I have to explain what this means?
We're on a pirate ship...: Fond memories of just how fucking bent we all were.
Without Faith: Okay, so it's TSN and not specifically S&H, but we helped make it! And it just represents Sophomore year in general to me.
mmMm. I'm trying to think of how many other songs that make me think of S&H, but some of them may just be part of TSN's rep, and not specifically S&H.
Really, though, those are enough.
