I try to think of an entry, and all that comes is feeling tired.
So we had the Kia Snafu this morning, as
jwhorfin wrote on. I had spent a decent amount of the night holding
skarlette and reassuring her after a bad night, and making sure she knew (and knows) that she is beautiful, strong, and did the best she could in a very bad situation, and I love her and am glad she's okay.
Needless to say, getting up early to start phone tagging and driving wasn't fun. Neither was being less than 2 miles from the dealership when they called and explained the drive had been pointless.
But I got Bob Evans for breakfast, so that has to count for something. And the waitress was young, pretty, and horridly nice. The minute she got a look at my eyes, she started providing coffee, cream, and sugar, before I even ordered, and got my food to me incredibly fast with a whole fresh pot of more coffee.
Work's been decent. Got a bunch of calls closed since I came in, and while over in Chemistry I spent a reasonably pleasant period chatting with GothSarah, who is apparently gonna be the 1st floor RA for the program next year, which rocks, and we spread large doses of amusement and anti-Greyson.
I'm sure at least 3 people who read this from time to time will appreciate that.
Lunch was spent with El Juan helping me create my D&D character for his game tonight, but to be honest, if I still feel this wasted when I get off work, I'm going home and laying down. I currently feel hosed, and I don't think being in a basement for 4 hours will really improve that.
On the upside, it's a barbarian/fighter who's gonna sprout into a FRENZIED BERZERKER after a few games.
Rarr, I saw. Rarr.

Date: 2003-07-07 09:59 pm (UTC)Greyson can be such a cat some times. By that I mean "cat" as defined by: four footed woman in fur coat. Fickle and haughty and entirely too coy. But cute, when properly petted and fussed over.
And where did you come up with that obscenely ridiculous name?
