Michael Moore will be doing a talk here 10/29, a Wednesday, @ 7:30pm as part of our campus Forum series. I can get tickets starting 10/1. Anyone who'd like to come?

Why couldn't he have come last year?? I would LOVE to go, but stupid work prevents this from being so. Hope you have a fabulous/intellectually stimulating time.

I'm kinda sorry he didn't, too. I can think of a lot of last year's class who would have found his forum fascinating to attend/comment on/heckle.

Oh, well. Besides, it's not like you couldn't do a redeye in/out Midway to Cleveland ticket and fly back the same night. Slacker. ;D

Be that as it may, I think if I were to take time off now right in the middle of my worker training and before my 6 month probationary period is over, I'd get fired. So one must weigh "good job with excellent benefits" against "seeing Michael Moore." I'm afraid seeing him is not worth living in a refrigerator box in an alley, after I lose my job. :) But the tea is delicious. I thank you.

The short answer is that he's this dumpy guy with bad glasses and a camera.

The long answer is too long and has been replaced by 'Who is John Guilt?'

The medium answer is that he's a documentary filmmaker and writer who's a very big social activist, and has spoken out against groups like General Motors, the Bush administration, Fast Food, and the events surrounding the Columbine massacre. He makes most left wing liberals look rather timid, and he loves it.

It should be rather incendiary, and fun.
