Did you see the name of the woman who's family was there?

Phelps.

As in 'Fred Phelps'.

This all makes complete sense with that piece in place.

Oh, I know. But still. Using kids to do that...

Phelps has indoctrinated his entire family - all the kids - for this. They were at the Matthew Shepherd funeral and then the trial, for example.

I think the only reason that Fred didn't show was him being in wyoming trying to get his 'monument' built.

Whatever happened to that god of the old testament who liked to smite people with lightening for doing shit like this in his name?

Ah, well.

If the Phelps clan ever comes over this way, I'm smacking them with a 2x4. Even if I do get arrested. >O

Using kids to spread a message of hate, trying to equate sexual assault with homosexuality, and being grateful for 9/11...geeeez, aren't these the sorts of wackos that need to be locked in a padded room or something?

You'd think. Though Lisa's suggestion of a firing squad isn't so bad, either...

Eh. I'm not that mean, though perhaps torture by South Park/Queer as Folk/(insert offensive show) marathon would be rather satisfying.

*Stares at This Coldly*

Well one can see the reason those darling children will not be dressing up as ghosts this Halloween. Mommy and Daddy seem to have used up all the white sheets....ahem...well if they are indeed grateful for 9/11, does this not make then traitors? And don't traitors get executed?? *Sigh* Where is a firing squad when you need one...or at least a guillotine......

Ahhh, for the olden days...

Still, I suppose that this country gives them the right to believe what they wish. But couldn't we just trade them for, like, a political dissident in China or something?

Haven't you heard, though? You're only a traitor if you dissent against the war on terror! If you do, you give comfort and aid to the enemy! Ashcroft (or Rumsfeld, I forget which) said so! *snark mode off*

Way ahead of ya. I've seen the quote several places before already, as worrisome and creepy as the parallels drawn still are.

Ah, the ol' Phelps clan practicing their First Amendment rights to show just how moronically hate-mongering they are.
