Nov. 29th, 2003 09:26 pmWell, that was a fun day.
Went up to visit
doomflower and
spiralpegasus. While waiting for
spiralpegasus to return from work, I introduced
doomflower to my Godless Communist Science team of Iron Man (Projectile), War Machine (Variable), and Colossus (Dash) in MvC 2. Rolling on like the fist of the Red Army, much destruction and fun was had.
Once
spiralpegasus got in, we went to the Blue Moose for dinner, and I must admit that the storied wings of which they spoke were not bad at all, and the nachos I also judge tasty. I think LeRoy's still has the most flavorful I've had lately, but these guys were certainly good.
Then, we hit a little coffee place, relaxed, read the Free Press, talked Bubba-Ho-Tep, and finally went over to a Toys R' Us where I discovered the best thing ever: A Lego (well, K'nex), Catapult.
Apparently they're doing K'nex series for the MW: Dark age stuff, as well as some of the MW3/4 mechs. I was quite surprised and pleased to see more variety than the old Mw3 ones I saw, which only featured the Shadow Cat, Uller, and Thor. Plus, they're cheap, with the most expensive being $12 and most being $8-9.
Good thing there isn't a Toys R' Us near me, or I could get a habit...but of course, Wal-Mart might start stocking them...I'll have to look.
The Catapult is particularly good, though, because it's up there with the Archer and Dragonfly among some of my most favorite Battlemechs.
And now, I am home, there's a light bit of snow on the ground, and I have a toy to put together. Life's pretty good.
