Review: Chicken soup!
Jan. 3rd, 2004 06:13 pmChicken soup is, as a whole, godlike when you're in my condition (re: sick.). So, today, I got several cans of various soups while out, and wanted to share my thoughts on two of them.
1: Campbell's Chunky Chicken Gumbo with Sausage
This stuff is amazing. Spicy, tasty, cooks up quickly in the pot, and quite filling. Plus, the spices helped with the congestion! It's not the best gumbo I've ever had, but for something that cost $1.15 and came out of a big red can, it's got my vote. I'll probably even pick this up some time when I'm not sick, if I just want a quick tasty meal.
2: Campbell's Chunky Herb Roasted Chicken with Potatoes and Vegetables
A disappointment, really. I expected at the least very flavorful chicken, given how they sell this, but it was really bland. The veggies were decent enough, but nothing terribly special. I wasn't expecting a lot out of this, but I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised after having the gumbo for lunch today, and this really didn't do it.
