May. 19th, 2002 10:16 pmMmmm. The weekend in many sets of sporadic things:
First: I have found a quest. I've needed one for awhile, but not one that will get me into too much trouble, yet. I am now on a quest for the perfect hotdog. I found a decent one at Easton, a truely terrible one in Wooster. I believe my grail probably rests in a ballpark. Baseball is dictated.
Carshopping went well. While my Dad has decided (after Mom and I already chose to go to State Farm and discuss financing for a particular model) that I should look at about 20 other models, mostly trucks, which I do not want, I believe I have found a Kia Cinco Wagon that I want. If we get the financing we want, we'll probably buy it in the next two weeks. $400 down, probably $200 or so a month for 5 years, and then it's totally in my name. Neato.
Episode II....hrm. First hour and a half: Useless. Last hour: Woot.
sk4p and
ijikeru will probably agree to this, and the fact that despite Tatooine and Geonosis being desert planets, Natalie Portman seemed a bit cold while visiting them. (mm. Nipples. Shame she doesn't have much else on her chest. Unless she was taping her boobs down or something.) Second thought: Anyone who is constantly claiming that she "doesn't want to encourage" a Jedi to fall in love (or at least lust) with her shouldn't wear A) Black leather corsets,B) Sleeveless, backless, strapless gowns held up only by her nipples, or C) Extremely TIGHT WHITE clothing, especially if the top barely reaches to cover your breasts and exposes the rest until you hit the white hiphuggers that dip at the belly button. Also, after seeing Christopher Lee and Samuel L. with lightsabers, they -need- to get Christopher Walken one for episode III. It would be -too- fucking cool.
Oh. Related note: In a discussion of the more deviant uses of the Force, I proved to
sk4p that there is a -reason- I scored 20% more evil than he. Anyone wanting me to explain it further can ask.
Got issue 2 of the new Transformers comic by Dreamwave. I really like this series. If they keep this up, beyond their TF titles, I may start reading their other books, when I have the money to spend on it. Also would love to get some of the Armada Toys, or any of the G1 reissues they talk about being relased in the US next year. Especially if Soundwave makes it over. MMm. Soundwave.
Alex and I got really good ice-cream sundaes in Dublin, at a new place not too far from Thai Orchid, a very good restaurant that we did not eat at. But I will take you people there, someday.
Half price books next to S.H.O.C.C. comics is open until 11pm Saturday night! Got "Manga! Manga!: The World of Japanese Comics" for 8 bucks, which is good, because I reference it a couple times in the Thesis, and probably will in the expanded version, too.
Had dinner in Wooster with pretty much the whole family Sunday. Good stuff at the new Italian place. Then went to wal-mart and got groceries, frozen dinners, and a new fan for the room. Put up a TF poster I bought when I got the comic, and in general it's a good day. Played around with
ixx on a MUSH we frequent, and am watching TV.
Oh. Leafs lost game two in Overtime. GODDAMMIT. Oh, well. Game 3 on home ice we'll win. Really.
Conclusion: I need to do more stuff with
ixx,
sk4p, and
ijikeru, entirely possible on their own turf, and bring
bredmold along for the horribly psychotically fun and destructive ride.

Date: 2002-05-19 07:37 pm (UTC)If they could work those two scenes in, WITH Christopher Walken, Lucas will have himself another willing slave boy.
Personally, though, I'd look forward to either Jackie Chan or Chow Yun-Fat, Jedi Masters. Or maybe Michelle Yeoh--the only female I noticed on the Council was the blue-skinned creature that came from Bib Fortuna's planet.
