Hello, Mr. Practical Hydrogen Reactor.

This is only slightly, slightly exciting. Why? Because if it pans out, we could replace a hell of a lot of fossil fuels with CORN. And while the gerbil fetish population may be disappointed with the likely price increase per-ear, I think the rest of the world would be rather happy.

Nachitor's all too plausible comment aside, this is very interesting to me. It's especially good for cars since it solves the problem of hydrogen being notoriously difficult to compress.

Oh, and I like this bit - 'Hydrogen does not emit any pollution or greenhouse gases. But unlike oil or coal, hydrogen must be produced — there are no natural stores of it waiting to be pumped or dug out of the ground.'

Sounds as if they're saying it like that's a bad thing. I thought it was kind of the whole point of producing technologies like this in the first place...
