Apr. 28th, 2004 01:06 pmWell, that sucked.
As part the fasting test, I couldn't eat or drink after 6pm last night. OK, fine. Went in for the 10am draw, and got told, "Oh, it's not just a fasting test!"
Wha-huh?
What they'd scheduled without explaining to me was that this was a tolerance test. That means that after they took the first draw, I was given the most noxious flat-cokey tasting drink in the world (warm!) and told I had to drink it all within 5 minutes. Then I sat for 2 hours while this drink drove my blood sugar down as low as it could go. I fell asleep/passed out somewhere around the 1 hour 15 minute mark, apparently, but the nap was nice.
Finally got out of there a little bit ago after they made sure I was going to be OK to walk/drive, and got myself some food. A roast beef sub never tasted so good.
Now, as I catch up on my work crap, please enjoy the tasty meme.
