That's actually rather impressive, in a negative sort of way. Full-department rebellion is really difficult to orchestrate, since there's usually at least a couple of people who actually like having a paycheck.

Perhaps some other company saw an opening and lured a bunch of people at once?

I think at least some of it is that all of these guys were friends.

And also, cynically, it makes me wonder that if 3 were connected to some thefts....well.

At least one of the ones who'd left also had been talking about quitting since I got here. Maybe it was just the last straw.

Um, wow. That's ... kinda scarily impressive. On a completely different level from the 'great purge of the university IS staff' I saw a while back.

Should you find yourself in Pittsburgh desiring to blow off steam, let me know. I know of a small but reasonably appointed place for punching holes in paper targets for reasonable prices.
