Sorry to have snarked so badly last night.

I'm afraid I'm not very confident in my personal writing, and it leads to a bit of paranoia.

Write a 500 page essay on the Bakufu? Easy.

Write a 5 page short story? Oh, shit...

I think every one of us is afraid when we post our stories. I mean, this is something we've created, worked on, given birth to; and we're sending it out into the cold cruel world. We all want to be praised for our genius and cringe from being told that all our work was for nothing.

Personally, I keep a list of people's LJs that have something special I want to go back to after work. If I get the chance at home, great. If I don't, I don't. Going back to your story has been on the list. It's been co-opted for tall_man's City of Heroes game (and since he owns the computer, I really can't bitch about it).

Hell, if he's on the Virtue server, I was probably grouping with him last night in all the various teams I bounced around with for much of the night... ;D

But yeah. My professional work is easy. It's all fact based and I can back my interpretations up with hard data that I used to draw my conclusions. Stuff that I'm just pulling from the ether is, well...unfounded.
