Nov. 11th, 2004 03:44 pmOffsite meeting was decent. Sterling's going to be doing something that's, frankly, ballsy. I like it. They're being aggressive and trying to make the company grow in a very natural way. It should be fun to work here for the next few years while this happens.
Getting back from and since has sucked ass.
skarlette gets to go have fun all weekend at Windycon. Going to miss her.
1. Your favorite song with the name of a city in the title: The Devil Went Down To Georgia- Charlie Daniels Band (I can't think of anyone with a city. Bah. Close enough.)
2. A song you've listened to repeatedly when you were depressed at some point in your life:
Duel of the Fates - Episode I soundtrack. It was stirring and energetic and ominous all at the same time. Don't ask.
3. Ever bought an entire album just for one song and winded up disliking everything but that song?
Not really, but the White Stripes' Elephant was kinda half and half.
4. A song whose lyrics you thought you knew in the past, but which you later learned were incorrect:
The Chemical Worker's Song - Great Big Sea
5. Your favourite song from a musical:
What you own - Rent
6. A song you like by someone you find physically unattractive or otherwise repellent: Thriller -Michael Jackson. Vincent Price is really more responsible for it, but oh, well.
7. Your favorite song that has expletives in it:
The Man Upstairs -Voltaire
8. A song not in English or German:
Inner Universe -Origa
9. A song you like (possibly from your past) that took you forever to finally locate a copy of:
It's Only A Paper Moon -Cole Porter
10. A song that reminds you of spring but doesn't mention spring at all:
Mysterious Ways -U2
11. A song that sounds to you like what being happy feels like:
I've Got A Lovely Bunch Of Coconuts!
12. Your favorite song from a non-soundtrack compilation album:
Love Lost Years -This Asencion, from Alexxx's 'goth primer' collection.
13. A song from your past that would be considered politically incorrect now (and possibly was then):
Freaks of the Industry -Freaks Of The Industry
14. A song that reminds you of what being drunk feels like:
Donkey Riding -Great Big Sea
15. A song you actually like by an artist you otherwise hate:
Breaking The Habit -Limp Bizkit
16. A song by a band (whose members actually play instruments) that features three or more female members.
Anything by Rasputina
17. One of the earliest songs that you can remember listening to.
William Tell Overture
18. A song you've been mocked by friends for liking:
Heart and Soul -Fred Waring & The Pennsylvanians edition.
19. A really good cover version you think no one else has heard:
Paint It Black -Thou Shalt Not (though most on my friendslist have, probably.)
20. A song that has helped cheer you up (or empowered you somehow) after a breakup or otherwise difficult situation:
C'mon C'mon -Von Blondies
21. A song you've listened to while engaging in a sexual act:
Electrical Storm -U2
22. A song that (sometimes) makes you cry:
Into The West -Annie Lennox & the London Symphony Orchestra. (ROTK Soundtrack)
Y'know, the fact that she won't be home tonight to spend some time with just hit. :
