Indirectly through [livejournal.com profile] indigoskynet, I've learned that God is apparently Sir Ian McKellen, or at least enjoys appearing as such.

While I'm mildly disappointed that He was not James Earl Jones, it still makes some profound sense.

Sir Ian *is* Mithrandir, after all. Which is just a nice way of saying "Odin." ;)

Wandering in from [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes...

I may point out in support of that, God created Adam first and only created Eve when Adam kept badgering him to do so...

You may draw your own conclusions.

Where does Lilith fit into that little equation darlng? She was first made and equal to Adam after all. But then why should I care? I'm a nice Pagan girl....so nevermind then.

No christian here either darlin' just your average urban techno-shaman...
I think the christians would like to forget about Lilith, she makes the whole tale just a trifle improbable...

although the way I hear some of them tell it, Adam was the first man, eve the first woman, and Lilith wasn't human. [yeah, way to rationalise that.]

Hmm, I guess from that angle Adam wasn't into bestilaity either... [hey, if she's not the same species it counts, don't it?]

Ah never mind me, I just like picking holes in their little mythology, although at times it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Wandered over from [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes.

I was under the impression that God was James Mason. Huh. You learn something new every day.
