Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.
Sep. 5th, 2005 11:36 pmPeople seem to think I've gotten fixated on violence, Nazi rallies, the encroaching apocalypse, and boards with nails in them.
Perhaps it's true. My only defense is that it's the end of summer.
Had a wonderful day today, mostly spent either shopping, cooking, or cleaning up and helping Alex cook. We ended up hitting a goldmine of tasty foods at Carfangnas, particularly because the Farmer's Market vegetables and fruits had come in. We make one hell of a bunch of food, and had to call in reinforcements in the form of Dave, Lucy, Gary, and another Dave to help stem the tide of delicious foodstuffs. Watched some football, ate ice cream, talked good and bad scifi and movies in general, then Lisa and I turned the lights down and watched Anthony Bourdain go around food and places in New Jersey, complete with Mario Batali as his guest star for the majority of the 2nd act.
I have to go back to work tomorrow. It's a shame and a sin, really.
