I've recieved yet another blast of "The internet is 40 people."

I knew that ardaniel and mephron were obviously involved in Eyrie stuff, as they got me hooked on it in the first place. Finding out that aberranteyes was involved? Not surprising.

Finding out that the good sir yukon_jack, friend and partner in creative alcoholism was involved? Rather surprising! And the fact the bastard never TOLD me?

Well, Rich, you're buying the first round when we hit the new Burgundy room, and you got 'splanin to do. :D

Wait, who? Do I know those last two people you named? I'm not sure I do, and I'm pretty sure neither one is "involved in Eyrie stuff," per se. I mean, they might have accounts on the EPU Forums, but, uh, far from being members-only, those have lots of people on them I'd really rather beat savagely with a cricket bat.

Rich is also linked into some of robotech_master and the Eyrie community, so that's part of my confusion. Cricket bats aside, tho, it seems like everyone knew about this except me, which is why I'm still surprised.

Besides, this is all an elaborate scheme to extort alcohol and hanging out in a bar, so I'll happily make corrections as needed.

Yeah, see, I think you're proceeding under a sort of misconception as to how EPU works. It's not like a big open-source project where everybody who knows someone who's involved is also by default involved. For instance, my vector to dvandom is Transformers fandom, not fanfic. robotech_master hasn't been active in EPU for more than 10 years. And so on.

Part of the problem, I suspect, is that a number of these folks have eyrie.org email addresses? And eyrie.org has nothing at all to do with eyrie-productions.com. I don't know why it has that name, but it's no fault of mine.

Fair enough. If my logic wasn't fuzzy, I'd probably be half useful, but that wouldn't be as fun.
