Good and bad.
Dec. 8th, 2005 04:11 pmGood: Massive snowfall expected. Work seems to be acting like we'll be closed tomorrow. (Officewide emails from HR discussing contingency plans, distributing the "call this number before you try to come to work" hotline, etx.)
Bad: Dallas office already closed due to the ice storm down there. I suspect we could end up with the two largest hubs of the company effectively shut off tomorrow if things get bad.
Good: Due to shutdown of the Dallas office, I was asked to be a desktop tech today and to ignore the phones in favor of running around and Getting Shit Done, which I did rather well, all things considered.
Bad: I say all things considered because I had to drop everything again to deal with a mini-virus outbreak for a bit, so I didn't get as much done as I'd hoped before people started leaving for the night.
Good: Really enjoying running around and working tickets and machines instead of being a desk drone.
Bad: Very, very tired and having to force energy because of not getting sleep last night.
Good: Lisa is doing better after going to Urgent Care. (Nothing too serious, just her wisdom teeth coming in and getting infected. Lots of pain, etx. She's now on the happy pills.)
Bad: Waking up at 2:30am and being told that she needs to go to Urgent Care.
