samanthalake, before I forget (again).
Long 2 weeks. I'm a mixed reaction overall. I really enjoyed it, and I found a lot of the work and the process fascinating, but some cases, particularly from the Abuse squad, were both mentally and emotionally exhausting, particularly when we had to hear 7 or 8 back to back, 3 days in a row. I now know people are capable of things that, while I might have understood it abstractly, I deeply wish I could unhear, and my sleep patterns have suffered pretty badly.
That said, if I'm summoned to serve again, I'll do it again in a heartbeat. It's a duty and an honor, even if people don't always see it that way.
Other than that, I'm not sure what else to say? Life's been life around here. The deep fryer died. We replaced it. The new one is Alton Brown reccomended and makes some of the tastiest fries I've had in awhile. The end of the Jackets game tonight was incredible. (Most unlikely OT winning shot in quite some time.) Ghaz hit 39 today and I can't decide if I want to farm myself some honor in WSG or just try to push to 40 tomorrow with some SM runs and get the mount.
