Is it possible to break your nose and not really know until it's too late?

About 2-3 weeks ago, I started noticing that the upper bridge of my nose felt funny, and hurt rather sharply to touch.

I asked Lisa if anything looked unusual there, and she couldn't find or feel anything out of place.

However, now it no longer hurts to touch, but still feels almost a bit out of joint.

I'm really not sure what the hell I did, but I'm starting to wonder if I somehow broke or deviated something up there in my sleep and it healed up funny while I was trying to figure it out.

Have you been snoring more than usual? A deviated septum produces snores to wake the dead. They can fix it with a septoplasty, so you might check with your doctor/ get an ENT referral if they think it's needed.

If I do snore, it's usually pretty light - nothing to the level I think would happen if that was the case, though I could be wrong.

I do know all about the snores, though. The whole family complained about my dad's for several years, and he finally went into an ENT and was almost immediately scheduled for a septoplasty because of how bad his septum was. (It was also the root for why he couldn't get rid of a sinus infection, but that's an even nastier kettle of fish.)

Stick your index and middle fingers up your nostrils (gently). Wiggle.

Does it hurt? Yes? Deviated septum. ;)

Well, that was an entertaining looking 30 seconds.

Kind of an aching at the upper bridge, but no sharp pain.

Maybe I just managed to dent the thing on my headboard or something.

Might want to wrap your head in a wet towel anyway, just to be sure.

But where will I get a nasal-Rooter?

Or for that matter, the candy bar?

I'd be more worried about the kamikazie Johny-Cab, personally.
