As we all know, I suck at surprises
Jul. 1st, 2006 09:26 pm...but today didn't doo too bad. :D
Today was mostly about groceries, and Lisa, which worked out pretty well. Groceries were bought, the house was resupplied, and in the midst of things, Lisa picked out steaks, berries, and a cake for her birthday dinner, along with a small surprise (we're not big seafood people...but I grabbed some shrimp to grill for her with the steaks).
Alex grilled up the steaks, Lisa made her berries into a berry salad, and I did a lot of the running around work. By the time we were done,
las showed up to surprise Lisa with a card and to hang out for a bit (including being roped into dinner and cake), and Alex and I presented Lisa with her presents from
dklegman and I, which she was quite squeed about. Then much Mythbusters was watched, and Onyx attention-whored in a most impressive fashion, demonstrating his ability to get pets from everyone, and his talent at falling asleep in as many laps as possible in one afternoon.
All things considered, it's probably not the biggest or flashiest thing we've ever tried to pull off, but it certainly was one of the more satisfying.
